Kixzo is designed to work with TWAIN compatible drivers. To determine if your scanner's driver is TWAIN compatible check your users manual or call us at 1-800-291-7129 with the make and model number and we will find out for you.

Here are some general points to consider when purchasing your scanner:

1. TWAIN compatible scanner

2. Determine your scanning needs :
a. Are you scanning double sided documents? If double sided documents then a DUPLEX scanner is needed, if not then a SIMPLEX will work. Duplex is also capable of SIMPLEX.
b. Multi-paged and quantity? If you plan on a large amount of scanning, then an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) is critical, versus a flatbed without an ADF.

|
3. Need a Universal Serial Bus (USB ) , Parallel Port Interface (PPI) or Small Computer System Interface (SCSI)? SSCI are generally more expensive than USB or PPI. In our offices our scanners are USB.

4. Scanning clarity and color. Do you need enhance clarity in the images scanned? What about color? If so then a scanner that allows you to change the resolution from 75x75 to 600x600 or higher is important as well as the brightness, contrast and image color.

5. Multifunctionality (printer, scanner, copier). Do you want a 3 in 1 or just a scanner alone?

6. Price
